Do you create and share digital content (i.e. courses, PDFs, videos, etc.) or contribute to a website? Are you interested in learning about accessibility concepts in general? You don’t have to do it alone!
Siteimprove is a tool that can identify errors and accessibility barriers on your website. In addition to identifying problems, Siteimprove Frontier provides training on best practices to improve accessibility and optimize website performance. Academy courses are self-paced and broken down into easy to digest modules. The target audience for courses ranges from beginner to expert.
Siteimprove Summer Camp was launched Summer 2021 to create a small learning community among UCI faculty and staff members to complete and discuss courses from Siteimprove Academy. During the Fall through Spring quarters, we will continue learning together with Siteimprove Academy through DSC’s Siteimprove Learning Circle.
Coming soon!
All staff and faculty are welcome, regardless of experience with accessibility or Siteimprove. If you have any questions or suggestions for this learning community, please email dscetext@uci.edu.
Siteimprove also offers regular webinars on topics related to accessibility, check. A great example is the screen reader demo. If you’d like to access other Siteimprove webinars, you can visit their Accessibility Education Community Archive.
