Manage Your Course

The MyDSC Portal allows instructors to manage & view a list of students enrolled in their course who have accommodations. Instructors can also input testing information into the DSC system for in-person testing, once it resumes.

Accommodation Letters

You will receive an Accommodations Letter for each student in your class with accommodations. If you have any questions about Accommodation Letters, contact DSC.

Due to stigma and other factors, some students with disabilities choose not to register with the DSC. While we recognize that some students are hesitant to register with the office, we strongly recommend that faculty do not provide unofficial disability related accommodations to students. If you have questions about how to navigate requests for accommodations that have not come through an official Accommodations Letter, please contact the DSC.

Accommodations Definitions

The list of Accommodation Definitions can help give you a better understanding of the accommodations you see in Accommodation Letters. Accommodations are approved through an interactive process that takes place between a Disability counselor and every student registered with the DSC. If you have questions about an accommodation you should contact the Disability counselor named in the Accommodation Letter you received.

Accessible Furniture

Occasionally, DSC will request Facilities deliver specific furniture to the classroom to provide student access. This can be a table and chair, an adjustable height table, a podium, or other types of furniture. Please do not remove this furniture from the classroom. Most of the furniture that DSC places has an electronic device to be easily located if moved from the classroom, but your assistance would be most appreciated.
