For UCI Departments and Campus Event Organizers
1-on-1 UCI Meetings & Appointments
For departments and instructors, we recommend including a way for students to let you know that they need communication-based accommodations while booking their appointment.
Examples:
“Please let us know if you need any accommodations (e.g. ASL interpreter, closed captioning, etc) to participate in this meeting:”
If a student has reached out to let you know of their accommodations needs, you can inform dscdhh@uci.edu using the button below:
Campus Events
If you are a campus-affiliated group planning an event at UCI, you can use the form below to inquire about communication access services and resources.
Please understand that if we arrange services such as ASL interpreters or Real Time Captioning, the organizer of the event will be responsible for these services and we will be sending you an invoice. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days (DSC Operates Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm) for your request to be processed.
Contact Us
Our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Coordinator, Anthony Robles, is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). He will oversee and coordinate all the Deaf and Hard of Hearing services once you have connected with your DSC counselor. While we currently do not have a counselor who knows ASL, they are all accommodating to your needs.
If you have any questions or concerns relating to any of this please feel free to email dscdhh@uci.edu or we can schedule a meeting to discuss in further detail by either Video phone, Zoom (with transcriptions enabled), and/or phone call.
